Points-funded family travel
Travel more without blowing up your budget.
I'm Ashley — a travel-obsessed mom with a full-time job, big financial goals and never enough PTO. I've figured out how to sneak away with my family as often as I can, and points are how I pay for it. Come see how it works.

My story
A working mom, two small kids, and not nearly enough PTO.
Early in 2025 I got tired of feeling like I had to choose between saving for the future and actually going somewhere. Honestly, travel just didn't feel reachable — every trip I looked at came with a price tag that made the answer an automatic no. Then I learned how credit-card welcome offers work, and that no finally turned into a yes.
Nothing about our spending changed. We put the groceries, the gas, the bills we were paying anyway on the right card, cleared the balance in full, and let the welcome offer cover the flights and the stay.
Points are only worth chasing on top of a balance you pay off right away.
Now we get away somewhere new every six weeks or so — short trips, usually two to seven days, squeezed in around work and school. Real memories, without wrecking the budget.

Trips don't have to be big to be worth taking.

How to Navigate the 5/24 Rule
If you have just heard the term 5/24 and have no idea what it means, start here. It is the one rule that decides the order you open cards in — and getting the order right early saves you a lot of missed offers later.

How the Southwest Companion Pass Actually Works
The Companion Pass lets one person fly with you for taxes only, on every Southwest flight you book. Here is the qualifying math, the timing trick, and what it is really worth for a family.

Come along for the next trip
I'll email you when there's something genuinely worth knowing about — an offer I'd take myself, a booking that worked out really well, or the real numbers from wherever we just went. Nothing more than that.
